I was watching this GREAT MOVIE again and saw your comment about being able to post a two hour movie. Apparently, there was a period of time during which YouTube allowed it. That is why there are some long movies out there. However, YouTube does not currently allow it (the window of time has passed, unless they choose to start it up again sometime).

I was age 16 back in 1966 in El Paso, Texas and heard about the WORLD PREMIERE of Manos: The Hands of Fate. There were write-ups about it in the two major papers and I think coverage on the local news. I did not attend the WORLD PREMIERE, but I checked the newspaper listings and went on a Saturday afternoon. I thought it was going to be a scary movie, and after about ten minutes or so I started to giggle a little. I noticed others at the downtown El Paso theater were laughing a little too.

One thing I appreciate is the commercials—really, everything besides the movie itself (e.g., please replace the speaker on the post). I can't quite say why, but somehow it gives me a sense of being around in 1966, at the drive-thru or just in the community, when this adorable little stinker of a film came out...
