An excerpt from the documentary "In Our Hands: Beyond the Earth Summit". Features interviews with Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, Bianca Jagger, Dr. Helen Caldicott, Edward James Olmos, and more.

In June 1992, the world met in Brazil to discuss the fate of our planet. National representatives, heads of state, non-governmental organizations and individuals gathered with the purpose of determining specific agreements that would balance environmental preservation with economic needs. While the official government/business controlled UNCED (United Nations Conference on Environment and Development) took center stage, this alternative conference convened.

"In Our Hands" was produced by Dean Evenson. This video was posted with full permission. For more info: www.soundings.com
