  • it's so weird, the "make alias" thingy doesn't show up, when i try to do shortcuts from my external HD. Why?!

  • drag any folder anywhere you want to make a shortcut but hold command and option while dragging

  • do you always keep your externals HDs plugged in?

  • i remove them when i go to sleep or when i'm no using my mac but most of the time i leave them on.. just remember that you have to eject the drive before you turn it off

  • thank u

  • Thank you so much!!! :-D

  • no...my shortcut in vb 2008 is missing i cannot find it anymore...

  • Thanks Dude that was a great help

  • Just wanted to add that you can do it another way also.

Instead of right/ctrl clicking and creating an alias, you can simply alt/option and cmd drag the file. You should get a little black arrow.

Just remember to let go of the mouse before letting go of the keys.

I think it was a very good tutorial. Basic for some people but hardcore for very new users that didnt know it. 5*
