The same mountain view shot on both cameras at the same time is compared with both images being enlarged to "gallery size" or 30x40 inches, 75x100 cm

  • I just purchased a Rolleicord. I was wondering if there is anyway you could give me some insight and helpful hints in how to properly load the camera and properly set the aperture setting I've read the Rolleiflex doesn't load the same way. Any help you could give me would be much appreciated. Thank you. Love the vidoes!

  • @Taylorlaurencecook

Thanks for your note Loading the camera: Prep the film by removing the retainer tag, place the pickup spool on the top roller, load the film on the lower one, and then--**crank the paper leader onto the upper spool until the big black arrows on the film leader point to the red dots inside the camera body near the base of the camera, inside. This is your reference lineup!! With a 'flex it just knows when to stop, but in the 'cords you do this. Then close the back.

  • Respond to this video... Setting the aperture: Rule of thumb is set the shutter speed to the film ASA and then the aperture to F 16 for bright outside days. Once the two are coupled, you can adjust depth of field or shutterspeed accordingly. To de-couple the Aperture from the Shutter, depress/push in the EV knob opposite the aperture setting and then with it depressed, change the f stop. when you let go, they are coupled again. I better do another vid on this!!!

  • why put that lens on a POS body

  • @tripleblackdc2

It was all I had. Now I use a Canon 60D body. I like it alot, with "noise Ninja" add-on program in my CS5 photoshop processing, and a good lens (Canon 24 1.4 series 2) it is very very near the Rollei in quality, with considerably less processing.

  • Why understate the price of the TLR? if it's really only $95, you will have no problem selling it to me for $120, right? ;)

  • @djsinatra100

It's not for sale. Some things are priceless.

  • so you compared a canon xti which has a crop sensor to a medium format rolleicord.... umm what?

  • @Taylorlaurencecook Manuals for old rollei's are usually for sale on ebay. And probably on web sites too.

  • @tripleblackdc2 because the lens is more important, i would take a 500d with a 24-70 2.8 than a 7d with an 18-55 any day

  • @megazluke i could be very wrong, but im pretty sure he meant "Piece Of Shit" (POS)

  • @tripleblackdc2 whats a POS body?
