S.O.S is an ad-hoc, location-based networking application developed by Platoniq to leave audiovisual messages (offers, requests and citizen alerts) in public spaces and events.
SOS combines the use of mobile phones, audiovisual noticeboards and hybrid urban mobility strategies. It uses the mixing of the speakers corner tradition and bikes to create self sustainable, hyperlocal human resources and skills sharing networks.
Inspired by the traditional English Speaker's Corner, S.O.S has been designed as a new
type of audiovisual noticeboard. Its main goal is to connect people from the same area
with common interests and help them to share their information and resources.
