I think the bold colors add a unique abstract effect to the artwork. I am a pastelist and do more "realizm" in my animals. Comments of my work are well appreciated. I think that zootoovid would agree with me on this...if you want a good representation of your pet, a good quality, up close picture is "key." If the pet is in the distance, they are extremely tough to do as I have had MANY of those commissions where the owners couldn't get any newer pics because the pet had passed on.
