No you missed it. Its not about how «we are turned against each other» its about individuals who count only as a MASS. Because those people are only there to follow the rules established by the SYSTEM (The Matrix). Hence they are all symbolically wearing black and white suits and they are reffered as carpenters and lawyers, for exemple.

Its interesting to notice the Wachowski Brothers hired twins as extras for this scene.

It amplifies the message that they are no-one and everyone.

you know what's crazy? all the people on the peripheral of neo? they're mostly twins. for example, the guys in sailor suits at 0:17? twins. the blond ladies, and many more were all there. it was supposed to hint that mouse was a lazy programmer and used the same profile multiple times, but people didn't notice.

Ugh this movie is so damn good. I remember being obsessed with it when I was about 6, even though I had no clue what was really going on. Even though this movie is clearly fiction...it's relevant. Fuck the system....we really are hopelessly dependent on it.
