7th October evening, we officially opened our first HE BY MANGO menswear boutique, located at number 586 Avenida Diagonal in Barcelona. The new premises have a total sales space of 500 m2 and underline our major commitment to reinforcing our recent entry into mens fashion, without losing sight of its womens collection, which remains our primary objective.

Among the many famous faces was Jesse Johnson, son of the famous actor Don Johnson, who attended the opening accompanied by his girlfriend, the actress Katrin Miller. This was the first time that Jesse had visited Barcelona, and in perfect Spanish he told us: I love the city and the people of Barcelona. I was familiar with the brand and it is an honour to collaborate in this project. I like fashion and I love the collection because it is very easy to combine and you can follow the latest trends.

On the subject of his family environment, the son of Don Johnson explained: We are a very large and unique family. There are lots of us, yet we all receive the same treatment. We consider ourselves brothers and sisters and we get on really well with each other. We all look after each other. And he added: I have a very close relationship with Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas, in fact I still call Melanie mum. Antonio gives me advice on my professional projects. The young actor has just finished his latest film shoot in Miami and will travel to New Orleans in November to prepare his next film.

The event was also attended by the pretty model Ariadne Artiles, who explained: Im happy in New York. I still travel to Spain, but my life will continue there for the time being. The young pilot Fonsi Nieto, who also attended the opening, said: Im very happy and satisfied with my career and my role in superbike racing. Right now, Im totally focused on my career. Both Ariadne and Fonsi, who announced their separation last September, said they were very happy to be able to maintain an excellent relationship as friends.

Mónica Cruz, a regular at our events, also attended this opening and confessed: Neither Penélope nor I rule out designing a menswear range. And she added: Right now Im travelling a lot to support various MANGO boutique openings.

The opening party, as well as counting on the presence of the actress María Botto, the chef Ramon Freixa and the designer Jordi Labanda, brought together the most representative faces of Barcelona society.

The menswear collection is aimed at the young, fashion-conscious male. Proof of this lies in the acronym that gives it its name, which conceals the Latin expression Homini Emerito, man who enjoys a reward because of its merits. With this new HE BY MANGO project, we are moving towards the concept of a multi-brand store, a location that houses collections of various styles by the same firm.
