glen beck an cnn find together 3 factual inaccuracies in a 20 minute video.. im not saying that the videos completely factually accurate but the general ideas of over consumption of resources is true an i think thats the message that needs to get across not random stats or any political views..
Factual inaccuracies? I thought I heard her say that we only have 4% of our "original forests left" . Then the rebuke is that "Doren says that 95% of our forests have been logged". Am I missing something, or did he qualify her original statement for her?? Do you know what is a falsehood? The fact that they called Doren a "Non-partisan" lawyer should disqualify the CNN news story. He is a lobbyist for Big Business Capitalists! And Big Business is not non-partisan, they pay off both parties! HA!
Yeah!! Leave the indoctrination of our children to Big Business! There is no place for showing kids any alternative to blind consumerism in this country, it's just unpatriotic to think otherwise! Student news, student text books and student food choices should be left to Big Business to handle. They are already well positioned and invested in turning our kids into good little consumers and anyone standing in their way will have Lee Droen and Lou Dobbs after them in two seconds!
@ThermotogaParty OMG! Lookout! Here comes BLIND CONSUMERISM! If you don't like it, don't go to the mall. Otherwise, shut the fuck up and stop trying to pretend that you know what's best for me.
Despite the factual uinaccuracies in the video, it does raise a valid point. Now, as to the idea that most of the tax money is going to the military, one can take form it what they will.
It is true that the United States spends a whole lot of money on defense (more than the rest of the world combined if I'm not mistaken.) When you really get down and think about it though military spending is pretty much the only thing still keeping the United States afloat.
Perhaps there are mistakes in the SOS vid, but dudes, the basic message is glaringly obvious. We are consuming ourselves to death. That this message appears to some as a socialist conspiracy or attack is a sad statement to which I say: HELLO! The Cold War is over guys. YOU WON, already! The "Commies" lost! Now could you please get out from under your sheets and beds and look at the reality out there?
Never intended for children? 1. Its a F'ing cartoon. Since when is this the way to get your point across to adults? 2. Is she going to conferences with simpletons? Because throughout the whole video she talks to her audience like they're 5 year olds.
And @PCMR57...Michael More is probably one of the most slanted documentary maker out there. His "facts" shown in his videos are either taken out of context or only part of the story. You've been brainwashed to believe everything you want to hear.
have you watched the rebuttal video by Lee Doran? you realized Lee made the video BEFORE he was on Dobbs.
He made the video because he was mad it was being shown in schools and was SO wrong. not for political reasons. not to get on TV. but because he care...
I'm not even sure i understand the point your trying to make. Do you like Lou Dobbs is the one that made the vid? do you think Lee made the vid because of Lou Dobbs?
I dont get it, but i'm pretty sure your confused about whats going on.
I'm not surprised that you're confused. You seem like that type.
Lou Dobbs jumped all over that video for reasons I mentioned in earlier postings. So what if there are a few mistakes, they could be corrected. No opportunity was given to creator to speak about the so called "mistakes". Seems pretty unfair.
The message of the video doesn't change regardless of a few ridiculous 'mistakes' you people have focused on.
This video is a refreshing change of pace and it's message is sound.
