@ec123456789able and the makers of "Story of Stuff" doesn't have a message to say either? We know military expenses increased thanks to Bush, and Obama's continuing that. Also this nonsense of "preserve the Earth, corporations are bad taking your money giving slave wages" etc. without being brought 2 sides of the story. It's scary how much kids are scared of trivial things like climate change and the economy >_>;

@KawallaBair really? So saying that our environment is under threat, because of our actions is wrong?
-
@007chucknorris007 well, if it were up to "the individual", we wouldn't be learning about things like "free markets" in economics - something that every child is taught in high school economics, without giving too much critical attention to the fact that the very concept is very subjective and hard to conceptualize in the first place.

@toseeornot2see Because it's teaching kids incorrect information? Perhaps we should teach them that red and blue are same colour too?
-
So basically what you're saying is you are trying to save the World and we are standing in your way?
-
It's liberal propaganda, plain and simple, that's what's wrong with it.

@Babyblue1021 how can you say that it is outraged if you never even left your classroom to see the real world. have you been out side the USA or have you seen how we use our resources? well i have and i can tell you that what i saw on the video is not outraged. its common sense. COMMON SENSE NEVER LOOSE IT.

I find it funny how everyone who objects to The Story of Stuff is a conservative right-wing capitalist. coincidence? I think not.
The figures about military spending as shown in The Story of Stuff are probably accurate. Notice how there is all of a sudden a spike in the deficit since Obama took office
This is because the cost of the war was not accounted for whilst President 'warmongering' Bush was in office. It was all off the books.
The real propaganda is Lee's refutation, not the original.

I don't see how showing this to children is wrong? I mean, we are at a point in time when our environment is in danger and we need children to understand this.
I don't see anyone being angered by advertising campaigns aimed at children, with the intention of getting them hooked on computer games, junk food and sports entertainment.
I'm in ninth grade and I was shown "The Story of Stuff" today in my biology class. I was completely outraged at the information they were giving and it sadden me that my classmates now believe this junk. Don't get me wrong I'm all about helping the environment, but the stuff here was just outrageous and this is not the only stuff they are showing us in schools.
