Track 13 of my 2009 album "Garden Variety". A fresh take on an old song from "Home Brand" with new instrumentation, revised chords and a fuller sound. The two minute intro is an instrumental I wrote on a sick day once, titled "A Good Deed". That's why the title on the track list reads "13 - A Good Deed/Daydream Lady". They seemed to go together really well so I combined them for the new record!

*LYRICS*
Goodnight
I hope that you can get to sleep alright
And yes I'd love to see you off
But I can't follow you there
And though I'm tired
I just can't seem to drift off
And you're gonna have to forgive me for thinking I might like to drown
In your sea of long brown hair
And if I tried
Would you fight it
Would you mind it
If I joined you where you lie
Daydream lady
Drive me wild
Made me crazy
Made me mild
Daydream lady
Midnight slayed me
Morning made me
A jaded, ancient child
