Demonstration Reykjavik Alþingi 24 01 2009 3

La population islandaise manifeste régulièrement devant le Parlement (Alþingi). Depuis le mois d'octobre 2008, elle s'y retrouve tous les samedi à 15 heures et depuis le mois de janvier, ce sont quelques centaines de personnes qui se rassemblent quotidiennement pour manifester pacifiquement jour et nuit leur mécontentement envers les politiques gouvernementales. Ce samedi 24 janvier environ 5000 personnes sont venues participer à la manifestation, exiger la démission du Gouvernement en scandant le slogan "Vanhæf Ríkisstjörn!!" (dehors le gouvernement) et écouter les discours de représentants (non élus) de la population, la "Voix du Peuple".

Ever since October, Icelanders have been gathering every Saturday at 3 pm in front of the Parliament (Alþingi) to express their anger towards the Government's politics, and since the beginning of January , no less than a few hundred gather there every day to demonstrate pacifically day and night, and demand the government's destitution. This Saturday, january the 24th, about 5000 people were there to listen to speeches from (non-elected) representatives of the people who belong to a group that calls itself "the Voice of the People" and demonstrate, shouting "Vanhæf Ríkisstjörn" (down with the government)
