Thank you for this video!! I wish I had found it sooner. This stuff is amazing to say the least. I had some older brushes that I didn't even know what color their bristles were anymore that I had been using for years. I cleaned all my brushes with it, everything from a 10 filbert natural all the way down to a 20/0 Ultra Mini. Natural or synthetic it cleaned them all. Paid about $8 for it and it saved me about $200 in brushes. Good trade!! Subbed and supporting. Thanks.

Les, the link on your Resources Tab on your web page to this item is not correct, I was trying to support you by buying thru your link, but I get this message on dick blick web page " Note — the link you clicked, located on resources, is incorrect. If possible, please report the error to them"

@MonicaReally He probably had a cut near the place he wiped his brush...its not gonna go through your skin for sure but if you have any cuts, protect them!

Those who live in Germany can buy this brush soap at "Müller Drogerie". It's located at the shaving stuff.

Cool, but it looks like the rinsing you are demonstrating in this video is going to ruin your brush or not? I mean pointy brushes.

Hey Lester,
do you do this for your detail brushes too? like small 10/0 or just 0? because i thought agitating the bristles... like moving them out of the point is bad for the brush. I'm just getting into painting minis so i really want to make sure im doing everything right.

Hi Les.
Saw this yesterday and I tried the same technique just a couple of minutes ago on my drybrushes. They were also really messed up.
Believe it or not, I used an ordinary block of soap, and all my brushes are as good as new!! Worked with the drybrushes, fine pointed synthetical ones and even the old one I use to put on pva glue!
I rinsed them carefully and I can't see any negativ effect on my acrylic paints.
You may try this out since I have no proof right now. Next time ;)

@Kimatoo Yeah I use them too, I hated them at first but they've grown on me :D ....

I have a question, bear with me, it'll sound stupid but can you put hair conditioner on your brushes to keep them soft? like Im talking high end conditioner, I mean if the bristles are made from real hair why not? anyways if thats a totally stupid idea just lemme know lol thank you:)
I love this stuff, but I wouldn't suggest rubbing it on your hands, I used to do that all the time, than a long time painter (of 50 yrs) told me he had gotten chemical poisoning from doing that! Anyways :P Nice vid!

@MonicaReally Thanks for the comment! I also love this stuff! I have only been using water based acrylic non-toxic paints so no worries on poisoning. Great tip though so thanks for that :)

what brushes do you use?
Kimatoo 2 years ago
Army painter, Reaper Master Kolinsky, Da Vinci Kolinsky, Loew-Cornell.
I have an assortment for whatever does the job best.. Cheap brushes for drybrushing and base coating, and the kolinsky brushes for detail and blending.

i noticed you were using a royal soft grip which is what i use for all my brushes. what do you think of them. i am thinking of switching over to winser newton series 7
Kimatoo 2 years ago
Yeah the royal soft grip and loew-cornell I use for drybrushing. WN series 7 is nice also, but I prefer the kolinsky brushes. But like I said, it all about what gets the job done for YOU :)
