Haber also created Zyklon A as a pesticide. In its more potent form, Zyklon B was used to gas thousands of innocent civilians in concentration camps - most of them Jews. Haber was himself Jewish.

Fritz Haber saved Germany from running out of ammunition in 1915 with his "Haber Process"...see Wikipedia article.
Germany depended upon Chilean saltpetre for the manufacture of explosives and assumed the war would be over by Christmas.
The British blockade cutoff all imports of Chilean saltpetre.
Later he aided the German army in the creation of a poison gas program for mustard and chlorine gas.
He was persecuted by the Nazis and died in Switzerland penniless in 1934.
