Gates: U.S. Intelligence Caused Change in Plans

Defense Secretary Robert Gates says the decision to abandon the Bush administration's plans for a land-based missile defense system in Eastern Europe came about because of a change in the U.S. perception of the threat posed by Iran. (Sept. 17)

Unless you're going to go fight in whatever potential wars the missile defense system prepares for, SHUT THE FUCK UP! You don't know what you're talking about. Obama isn't a muslim coward, the whole point of the strategic shift is to account for the increased threat from Iran. Russia and America have been playing mind games since WW2. 9-11 woke us up to security issues. I saw the video of the terrorist setting off the metal detector, and the personel just signaling them to go ahead on the plane. Any criminal could have pulled that off. We do have the power to blast missles out of the sky. Like I said, ships will provide this service. Dont over estimate Iran's power to attack with missles.

Our allies still value us and our decisions too much to say, oh they are hypocrites and we should jedessine them. Im not saying the world is 100% safe from them .But if you are right, whats the worse thing that will happen? It wont be nuclear war. The united states wont collapse. I understand what you mean, and by the way thank you for not getting rude and vulgar like others have. Bush installed a lot of fear in us. Its good to concede sometimes when things go wrong. This is going to be a set back with our allies, but in the end, if Russia can calm down than we made progress. They were thinking about deploying missles in poland until Obama canceled the plans of Bush. Diplomacy is established again.
