THE CARS OF TODAY COULDN'T WITHSTAND THE PUNISHMENT OF CARS FROM THAT PERIOD. THE CARS OF TODAY ARE MADE OF PLASTIC (BUMPERS) ,ETC. THE CARS OF TODAY ARE MADE CHEAPLY AS POSSIBLE. I KNOW, CAUSE I DROVE THOSE CARS. BEEN DRIVING SINCE 1961.

Bill Hickman was a glorious maniac, he was in The French Connection who was always arguing with Popeye.

Only reason Bullit is better, is because the cars racing were cooler.

SORRY, I NEVER DROVE EITHER OF THOSE CARS, I'M SURE THEY WERE HARD TO MANUVER. I OWNED A 1973 MERCURY COUGAR, MUSTANG SIZE, IT WAS EASY TO HANDLE AND MANUVER. MY DADS LARGE PONTIAC WAS NOT AS MANUVERABLE. I DID DRIVE IT FROM TIME TO TIME, WAS LIKE DRIVING A TANK COMPARED TO MY COUGAR AND MY SISTERS 73 CHEVY NOVA.

By your experience, what's the toughest car: A 1965 Imperial or a 1976 Caddy?

,,they're starting to make them a little better now only the psysical aspect of the bodies are full of crumple zones and supposedly stronger inner structure.

I AGREE WITH MOST OF YOUR STATEMENT, BUT MY SISTER HAD A 1973 CHEVY NOVA 2-DR, BEING SMALLER THAN MY DADS 1973 PONTIAC BONNIVILLEL I'LL HAVE TO SAY IT HANDLED QUITE WELL. IF MY SISTER KNEW WHEN SHE LET ME DRIVE HER NOVA, I HAD A LEAD FOOT AND PUT THE PEDAL TO THE METAL, SHE WOULD HAVE NEVER LET ME DRIVE IT!!! I WAS IN MY 20'S AND DID DRIVE LIKE A NUT SOMETIMES!! THANKS FOR YOUR REPLY.

old cars are super simple, heavy, globs of steel. they were tanks. but not neccesarily any better. they handled poorly. they couldnt stop in one tenth of the distance they do now.

Thanks for the upload man.. My dad showed me this film over my winter break, and I fell in love. This and Bullitt are in a close tie for best car chase scene ever, in my book.
