  • Berry didn't articulate the elements too well. He didn't even say how big the motor is, just the phony HP / tork numbers.

  • @Asheth - The Thunderbird has a big 1597CC engine

  • Thanks KXK766nw! Our goal is to provide top quality motorcycle reviews!

  • Great review on a bike I have just been made aware of. Barry articulates the the many elements and strenghths of the Thunderbird unlike many gibbering idiots who struggle to put a sentence together.

    Great job Barry.

  • Nicely done review, thanks!

  • Great review...Barry, how tall are you? Is this bike comfortable for an individual 6'4" tall? I very much like it.

  • love the thunderbird -- getting one this week in fact, but would not brag that it was designed by the same guy that designed the honda rune... one of the ugliest creations on two wheels.

  • Really enjoyed your review. Thanks for offering your comments on this bike!

  • @myrryxmas You gotta love them Triumphs. The price isn't as horrible as I had imagined. I hope the Triumphs get popular again, I miss seeing them on the road. I rode with guys who would ride nothing else. They were the reason I bought my first Limey and I found them to be great bikes. Again, they aren't Japanese. Yeah, I have had a few of those as well, never liked they way they set, and don't care for the high center of gravity. "Nimble" has always defined them, glad that didn't change.

  • @Nicodemus98 ... i was just at a dealership having my 07 rocket iii serviced, they had a NICELY equipped T-bird (leather panniers, backrests, & windscreen). MSRP was in the $14K range, but the salesman said they'd take 12 for it, just to move it.

i wish i wasn't still making payments on my rocket, i'd have signed papers on the spot. gorgeous bike. i tested another (it wasn't a demo, the service manager loaned me his to run an errand while i was waiting) and it is a sa-WEET ride.

    "nimble".

  • YEA I COULD JUST IMAGINE TOOLING UP KANNAN DUNE WITH THAT THUNDERBIRD, AND SOME OF THE OTHER CANYONS IN MALIBU...THAT'S WHERE IT WOULD SHINE.........HOWEVER THE WEIGHT AND THE CLEARANCE BUG ME, I WAS THINKING ABOUT BUYING A SPEEDMASTER...I LIKE A LITTLE VERSATILITY, WHERE YOU CAN GO ON THE STREET AND A LITTLE OFF ROAD, I DON'T WANT A DUCATI DIRT BIKE BUT I DON'T WANT AN ELECTROGLIDE EITHER, ITS A FINE BALANCE, I'VE BEEN ACROSS THE COUNTRY ON A BIKE AND ALL THESE THINGS ADD UP LONG DISTANCE

  • The idiot holding the camera keeps moving the camera away from the bike to the person speaking. The person holding the camera needs to be told that this vidoe is about the bike, not the person speaking.

  • Sharp looking Bike. More importantly, it's not Japanese. Admittedly, I am a Harley owner, and started out on Harleys. I have owned a number of Triumphs through the years and currently have a '62 pre-unit Bonneville, a '57 Thunderbird and a '55 Black Shadow. Big difference between mine and this one. Great looking bike, now, what the U.S. sticker price?

  • What pipe set up would you recommend? Power Commander?
