Laurie went down to Vandalia to visit her parents for Easter.

I went a little handstand crazy this weekend. Previously, I could only do a tripod headstand...but NOT support my weight on my arms. I finally got one today at Bally's in the aerobics room.

Fail bloggers, feel free to steal the last segment of this video. I know you will anyway! Royalty checks are always appreciated too!

lol, just kidding....

  • So, what are you going to do this year while Laurie is visiting?????

  • @Michelle123Lee LOL, Hi Michelle. I'm actually taking an aerial arts class right now...trapeze, aerial hoop (Lyra), silks, and Spanish Web (ropes). It's pretty hard, but it's a good work-out. Kind of scary sometimes, though! Laurie's car is in the shop...not sure if she's going down there...maybe next weekend to work on Jake's apartment.

  • @Poledancefan I was wondering if you would get the comment on this old vid. Did you get the furnace fixed? I think the silks would be cool, although I'd look like a overstuffed catipillar in a spiders web!

  • @Michelle123Lee Yup...gas valve...$600 with the labor, cleaning the flu and the burners. It seemed a bit pricey, but it's the first repair since we've had on it since owning the house. The furnace is pretty ancient--the revision date on the documentation is October 1961...49 years old!!! Basically, it's a pretty simple mechanism...thermostat and a giant oven that heats water, an electric pump, and a shut-off thermostat at 160 degrees for the tank so it doesn't explode. 1890's technology!

  • Joel! I'm moving on from headstands to handstands and found your video on yt in my search for a how to! Too cute!!

  • @shellpole Thanks!

  • @zodo777 lol...not quite 90...only 50. I hope I've still got it in me...bike riding, weight lifting...etc... Still having fun and maybe when I am 90- too!! /Joel Lessing

  • @zodo777 LOL, thanks for watching zodo! I'll be 90 in about 40 years.....but I hope I will still be doing goofy stuff on the pole!

  • @AppleCore2d Oh yes...you mean going from the cross ankle release to the headstand? I can get down to the ground...but I get scared and have not succeeded in flipping off to get a proper dismount yet!

  • I just learned this move backwards (starting on the pole and bending back into handstand) Very exciting
