2nd beat I did after I read half the instructions. SO far I am extremely impressed. I bought an MPC 500 because I wanted the portability but I took it back because it was missing some things I thought Akai should have kept. Traxx Pad isn't a full production set-up but it is pretty damn close and the sheer portability of it makes you overlook all the things it might be missing. When I was in the Airport I was sitting on the ground with my laptop and padKontrol which was a little chaotic but this PSP TRaxx Pad set-up relieves me of all of that. The only thing I have to learn now is how to get my own sounds and samples into this and develop a better workflow so this can work seamlessly with my current set-up. Hopefully I can post some better beats up later.

  • I never even heard of that. OpenLabs def puts out some crazy equipment. I will check that out.

  • If u got the bread, u should get the D-Beat.... its like a mpc on steriods and acid son. its made by OpenLabs

  • LOL... yeah. This isn't replacing my MPC 2500 anytime soon but I think I am about to replace my MPC with a NI MASCHINE.

  • I think I'll stick wit my mpc.

  • can sumone tell me how to get this also really int rested in this

  • I don't need that app trust me check out my beat videos I did with Beatmaker. I won't dissappoint you. You recorded that elephant video yourself on your page ?

  • apparantly you never heard of the FREE homebrew app on the PSP called RHYTHM...

  • whats this game called?

  • You can buy this dirt cheap in a game store like Game Stop but I think there might be a better game like this out now. I guess the iPhone version is supposed to be a lot better. Search on eBay.

  • Can someone tell me where to get this!!?!?!?

  • Hell no get an Itouch and get the app Beatmaker I sold my corny ass MPC500 for it so you should know it's worth it with a 32GB hard drive you can't go wrong watch some videos on it here just type in "Beatmaker for Iphone"

  • Sike the only pcket friendly real beat maker is the app Beatmaker for the Itouch for only $20 I make 50 beats so far on it and I only have 2GB worth of sounds on it so far on the 32GB Itouch this PSP shit is trash I'm glad I did'nt buy it LMFAO at this trashy ass beat LOL

  • You have to record the sounds into you PSP and save them onto your stick. You can't copy a bunch of sounds to the stick and then just load them up. That is why I don't make beats on this thing anymore. If you could do that... the MPC500 would be put out of business.

  • This is beats right? This is for 4,99$ in playstation store. You can play the sounds you have in the memory stick?

  • Put up some beat vids...

  • Naw man. You should be good to go now. You can use the mic to record. The guy who responded to my vid with a vid, Revelashaun, he has some vids up showing how he gets down.

  • Thanks for the info, got one more question? I got the psp-3000 with the built in mic can I use that to record sounds to make beats or do I still need to get the head piece ?

  • As far as I know, this is the only pocket friendly way to make decent beats. Especially when you see how they allow you to program keys for the synths and stuff. The only problem I had with it, and it was a major problem for me, is that you can't copy wav files to a disc and just start making beats. You have to record your sounds into it if you want to use anything outside of the stock sounds.

  • Is this shit worth $20?

  • I use Reason and Logic Pro. I also use an MPC 2500, which I have an growing collection of videos for uploaded to youtube. You should subscribe to them....
