Uses PicAxe 18M2 to drive Servos for Head, and drive the inputs to an L-298 Motor Driver Board. I used a couple of heavy duty gearmotors like the ones driving the RFL Robot. With 8 cells of battery power, this little guy gets around on a charge.

Like the funnest Robots, this one is Autonomous, it not only avoids objects, it looks around measuring the distances with a sensitive IR detector. After slowly prowling around, it will speed up again. The design is pretty basic, but the 18M2 provides both motor drive and servo drive independently, so there is a lot of program space and internal power to make this thing behave in interesting ways.

Parts, instructions, and tricky items are available as usual at C What I Can Do's website. http://www.cwhaticando.com/view/?t=Build%20a%20Respectable%20Autonomous%20Rob...
