SPOILER: I'm sad to say that Italy's very impressive surge (they even make the 2nd place at this part of the voting!) is not to last - getting another long stretch when nobody gives them anything (just like in '84, only to the opposite effect). Funny how Israel only give 1 point to Finland when they generally seem to favour the Finnish entries.

then i'm the only one who thinks Finland was robbed? best song by far! I like many entries, germany was great too, austria quite sweet.. but Bobbysocks did conquer with a smashing performance like they did again in 95 and 09 actually..

Italy did receive another 12 points,but by that time it was too late.They would have fared better if they had dumped the lead female singer and just had the guy,which coincidentally enough was the same story with the German entry.This was a strange year with Norway in 6th place after 7 juries had voted and I can't remember another year when a country fought back to win from that position. Germany deserved better than the 1 point it got from UK,but Bobbysocks was the performance of the evening.
