ATL-AEX, 2002. This was an empty positioning ferry flight from Atlanta, Georgia to Alexandria, Louisiana to pick up troops for shipment to the east coast. Their supplies were loaded onto a C-5 parked next to us. I got to ride along as a NRSA passenger.

  • @aserna32 , the video was recorded in 2002. Delta retired their 727s in 2003. The military aircraft is actually a C-5, which are still in service (the 141s were retired about 5 years ago).

  • WTF?! B 727-200Adv. at 1:30 ?! Um. . when did DAL retire their 727?! WONDERFUL vid! This has got to be around the early 2000s. I dont think those old airframes are still their (the ones at 3:25. and is that a C-141B Starlifter at 3:19 ?! "sigh" the good ole days. . .

  • Now was it video made? I only ask because at 00:45 you can clearly see a ATR-72 which Delta retired in 2007.
