How to jailbreak 3.1.2 firmware using Sn0wbreeze!

Just some information: This works for all devices except the iPod Touch 3rd gen and may not work for the iPhone 3Gs with the new bootroom!

Couldn't catch up in the video? This is what you have to do:

1. Make sure your device is connectes via the USB cable to your computer.

2. Make sure that you have downloaded all the stuff that you will need (the Sn0wbreeze program and the firmware, links above).

3. Run the Sn0wbreeze application

4. Click the blue arrow and then click Expert Mode.

5. Click "Browse" and then browse the firmware that you have downloaded. Then click the blue arrow.

6. Now choose General and continue.

7. Then click the blue arrow again, if you don't want to make any changes (which you don't have to do).

8. Then, if you want to unlock your iPhone 3G or 3Gs so that you can have what carrier you want, click the blacksn0w icon. If you are on the iPhone 2G, click the Bootneuter icon. If you're on the iPod Touch you don't have to do anything. Then click the blue arrow.

9. Now choose if you want Cydia, Rock or both of them. Then click the blue arrow.

10. On this stage you can put Cydia applications in the actual firmware, so every time you're restoring to the custom IPSW firmware that we are creating the applications will be installed automatically. You do not have to do this. Then continue.

11. Here you can choose your own bootlogo. It must be 320 x 480 and in PNG format. It must NOT be over 100kb in size and it must have at least one transparent pixel. You can selsct your own bootlogo, by clicking the Browse button, or use the bootlogos created by the Sn0wbreeze team. Or you can skip this part if you want the standard. Then continue.

12. Now you will get back to the menu. Click Build IPSW. And then click Start

Now your firmware will be created. This took approximately 10 minutes for me. After this stage you are done

13. Now restore to the custom firmware, which will be named sn0wbreeze and located on your desktop, by holding the shift button and left-click restore in the iPhone tab in iTunes.

If you are having problems with this stage, go to ih8sn0w's website (link above) and download iReb.

Now your iPhone is restoring to the jailbroken firmware. When it is done you will have Cydia or Rock (whichever you chose) and your iPhone will be unlocked (if you wanted that option).
