yeah, that awesome experience is the price you have to pay :-)) advice from me: dont stay in hotels, rent an appartement! thats much cheaper and much better!!!! you can do whatever you want then, its just like you would stay in your own appartement. i had one with 4 rooms. it was so nice and about 60$, that about 55 Euros/night. hotels are much more expensive and not always that save as you might think...

yeah we stayed with the locals there, the experience was amazing, most definatly one of the best trips i have ever been on. top 5 favorite country.

I am from Canada originally. My cousins drove through Kyiv and then we booted to Yalta through Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, over the bridge to Tsiurupynsk and to Yalta. 16 hours of surfing the pavement baby.

@Natashenka91 Driving in Kiev sucks??? Much bigger roads then anywhere I've been in, if You know how to drive like a taxi driver You won't get into any rush hour shit. Yes, most roads are old but they are still huge.

Winter driving, I don't know, probably You are right.

Kyiv is seriously my favorite place on earth--and I've travelled ALL OVER. Staying there in a hostel (Kyiv Central Station) was an experience and a half. Ukrainains are such great people! If I could be an honorary Ukrainan, I would jump on that in a heartbeat! UKRAINE FOREVER!! <3

driving in Kiev sucks...too many cars and zero parking...takes several hours to drive a few miles during rush hour...winter driving is horrible period! no plowing machines, roads are horrible
