i feel sorry

@Fahad1422 They are hardly evil. If you listened to their reasons for spaying and neutering the animals, it would make sense. Among the many reasons, they're often unsure of the cat's genetic history or unable to trace it. If 2 cats are in an enclosure together then they may be related (an unwanted birth would result in an inbred cub). Such poor genetic health would not help save the species at all. Not to mention the limited space they have there. Just let the experts look after the cats.

the music was actually more distracting - i know you're trying to show a lighter side to it, but it's distracting for the video for educational purposes

I understand the need for altered animals in captivity. i rescued a white Russian timber wolf (Katie) she was only three months old, some people we met through my space thought they wanted one for a pet.. i don't recommend this at all.. we only didn't spay her because we found a breeding program willing to take her off our hands at 2 years of age, we had her paper work which made it easier to locate a program. its a lot of work.It is rare that we got so lucky.

poor leopard :(
can't you send them back to the wild ?
alikala 10 months ago
@alikala Unfortunately not, this is for many reasons, cats are very rarely released into the wild. Our cats would not be candidates for release anyway, they are cross bred and/or inbred, we cannot trace their genetic history, they associate people with food and lack any real hunting skills, they would become nuisance animals and would not survive or be good to introduce their genetics to wild populations...

is it safe for the leopard to have a surgery in the open area ?
emmettaddict17 1 year ago
@emmettaddict17 Yes, because this isn't an invasive procedure, it is easier and quicker for us, plus less stressful for the animals to wake up in his enclosure rather than our hospital :)

let the leopard feel like a male leopard not a babyless bitch.plus isnt the black leopard rare for its beautiful color .they should let the leopard mate with a female and let them have a beautiful baby for the leopards sack

@loveable699 Neutering Saber will give him a more pleasant life in captivity, plus we could do other tests etc...while he was sedated. Black leopards are not a rare species of cat they are just melanistic and we don't breed at BCR this would just had to the problem of big cats living in cages :(
