  • the first windows was designed on a Mac. Bill Gates worked for Apple in the early 80's. He had the source of the Mac OS in front of him and he transformed it into windows ( and when i say that i really mean that he copied Mac and did some little changes to the user interface ). After a few months, Steve Jobes was fired and Apple lost the PC market.

Now tell me how come Windows is the most used operating system in the world ?

  • apple copied every product they've ever made

  • Apple have ONLY made TWO innovations 1: The colour wheel (hats off, that's a good one) 2: not having to highlight a windowbox in order to scroll but rather just putting the cursor over the document does the job (again hats off). Everything else software wise is a rip-off, Gates didn't steal Apples GUI, Apple stole Xerox's GUI and changed NOTHING bar the logo in the top corner ...seriously. Gates wrote a whole new OS out of an entirely and much more flexible kernal/baseOS: MSdos.

  • Stopped at 20 seconds ....making lots of sales = innovation ; over lets say: innovation = innovation. What a crock of shit.

  • @kiashadowwave The iPod was way different and definitely not "a clone of every other mp3 player on the market." Plus, iTunes changed the way people managed and bought their music. The iPhone was also not a clone as it was the first phone to use a multi-touch screen and most smartphones looked way different. Sure the Xerox Alto was the first to have a graphical user interface and apple copied it a little bit, but they used for the first time in a commercial computer and changed it quite a bit.

  • @coocycoo The iPod was not innovative at all, it was just a clone of every other MP3 player on the market at the time. The iPhone was a clone of every other smart phone out at the time. Mac OS was a clone of the Xerox Alto. Mac OS wasn't even remotely original, it's just a bastardized UNIX operating system.

  • @kiashadowwave Really? What was the ipod copying? And the iphone? And mac os? The ipod was released in 2001, the iphone in 2007, and the mac os in 1984, whereas the zune was released in 2006, windows phone in 2010, and windows 1985. And those are just a few examples. I'm thinking the microsoft is doing the copying.

  • @notdstar that is blatantly untrue. Bill Gates never worked for apple and most certainly did not "copy" the Mac OS. While by no means is he the most ethical businessman, thats just such a far fetched and ridiculous accusation.

  • @Millahtime actually steve jobs is envy of bill gates' success and you can understand that whenever you see steve talking about microsoft and their success.

  • you guys shut up if u like mac its your opinoin if you like windows its your opinoin just keep it to your self. but i love windows 7 and xp!

and know what every mac user has a pc software in it so suck it mac lovers!

  • MAC SUCKS HAIRY DONKEY BALLS , WINDOWS IS HARDCORE WINDOWS IS THE SHIT
