The Dragons are off to the Midlands, Oxfordshire, North Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Essex to discover whether business is booming, or if the recession has dampened the spirit of entrepreneurialism in our cities, towns and villages.
The Dragons catch up with the band Hamfatter to find out how the Den's first rock investment is doing. Duncan pops in to sign the deal with one of the stars of the 2009 series, Sharon Wright, who came to the Den with an invention for putting cables through walls.
Deborah checks up on a very flamboyant interior furnishings company, while James pays a visit to one of his investments whose business plan had to be totally revamped because of the economic climate.
Finally, Theo meets up again with one of the Den's most successful entrepreneurs to find out why her Road Refresher dog bowl was apparently good enough for the President of the United States, but not for the Dragons!

Peter doesn't really get the music industry. He's airbrushing a fair comment from one of the band member: to most, hamfatter is indeed a manufactured band so it doesn't have the indie appeal that they probably had before...
I think Hamfatter is the worst investment ever in Dragons' Den. I thought it was totally absurd when four dragons made offers to invest in that humdrum band.
Hellyeah, I couldn't agree more! I couldn't believe it when they made the offers, I was like what the fuck are they thinking?!?!!??!? I really was surprised that they made such a horrible fucking investment...I wasn't surprised at all to hear they weren't making any money, I knew right from the get go that Peter Jones was gonna be throwing his money down the sewer...

The album Peter invested in hasn't been released yet.
