www.ProGuitarShop.com - The T-Rex Mudhoney Overdrive Pedal is a great combination of an overdrive / boost pedal. The Mudhoney features a +15db boost when the Volume control is turned all the way up, this gives it the power to push the front end of your amp. The Gain knob controls the amount of distortion (really?) and the Tone control interacts uniquely with the rest. The Tone control only affects the top edge of the signal not compromising the other frequencies. The Boost button takes the T-Rex Mudhoney from a low/medium gain pedal to a high gain monster.
The T-Rex Mudhoney Overdrive pedal remains sweet at any setting. Using the Mudhoney at low gain levels as a clean boost, the transparent edgy boost is very usable and retains the primary characteristics of your sound while enhancing the dynamic response. With the Gain turned up the Mudhoney sings and wails with the best of 'em. Hit the Boost button and get ready to blast off with overdriven madness. Even detuned, the T-Rex Mudhoney Overdrive pedal holds up and brings the grungy low end to the heaviest of tunes.
