to reinforce the message of levi's being the original jean and to illustrate the originality of the wearers themselves, a huge scanner was used to capture images of levi's wearers. launched with japan's biggest star, takuya kimura, it was then placed at parties, put in clubs and levi's stores, scanning hundreds of people. each person was given a life-sized poster of themselves and these images were then used as part of a campaign through print, poster, in-store, ambient, online, mobile and tv. each ad itself was an original with no 2 ads appearing twice. also released was a compilation album of original songs by various musicians who were also scanned.
