@yh3e If you think about it, praying is sort of like meditating if you pray long, hard, and deep. I feel like what many fail to see is how closely related the religions of the world actually are. Instead, we tend to want to focus on the differences, which are few if we step back and look. They all believe in divine beings and that we must get past our human urges in order to live a truly fulfilling life. There may be specific minor differences, but, generally speaking, they are basically alike.

Buddhism preaches man as his own salvation. Are you believing that Jesus died for your so called sins? That would completely be the opposite of buddhism. If your wanting to be a christian, but fully and without question accept the bible, then no, you cant be a buddhist.
