  • i literally tried EVERYTHING, moving the file, different usb ports, different versions of rsd lite (4.6-4.9), but nothing worked. NOTHING. then i decided to use the newest version. it worked like a charm.

  • IF IT DOES NOT RECOGNIZE YOUR PHONE, WITH THE FAILED TO INITIALIZE, INSTALL THE NEWEST VERSION OF RSD LITE VERSION 5.6

  • WILL THIS WORK FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY S

  • Where can I find sbf file for MB300 motorola phone with droid 2.1? Thanks.

  • Is there any way I could get you guys to delete this video? I post (and host) information about the Motorola A855 (Droid 1) phone, and this method for rooting it is so old, it should have cobwebs on it.

No offence intended, but it suggests the use of the file SPRecovery_ESE81.sbf which will at this point cause nothing but problems for most if not ALL Motorola A855 (droid 1) phones since they have all now been updated to a much newer version of Android.

    Thank you.

  • @markdanielmiller - note: i should have watched the entire video before posting. sorry - a bit of excitement caused pre-mature posting :P

so - this is obviously rather focused on the Moto Droid (or, perhaps you could use the same procedure on any Droid phone that has a physical keyboard - but i'm not sure if the software being used is Moto-specific).

that being said, my question is actually "is there a similar procedure to this that can be used for a non-Moto Droid (ie - my Charge)"?

  • forgive my newb-question: but does this process only apply to the Motorola Droid? i have a Samsung DROID Charge...and this seems to be a MUCH easier process to gain root access than the "standard" rooting of an Android phone.

help a brotha understand, por favor? :)

  • make sure you have the 64 bit drivers installed on your phone? what 64 bit drivers?

  • @astrofr3k is ur screen keep on showing M logo for 4-5 seconds and turns off? Because im experiencing that issue too...

  • @TheCraney1985 thanks! was about to ask why the details weren't showing up
