Kevin Coyne's brilliant, quirky, heart-felt songs, like his art caricatures, pictured characters that were surreal and yet the essence of some people we probably all know. Marigold, beneath a pretty melody, paints a picture of a sometimes unsettling, sometimes comic personality.
Kevin Coyne just kept producing songs unlike anyone before or since. He died in Germany in 2004.
