@HermesDo sorry, no fighting was intended at all. i was just stating my point of view. if your intersested, you should read A Killing Art, its a book about the history of all the taekwondo federations. as an ITF practitionner, i got more knowledge about the WTF and the other taekwondo federations. It's really a good book !

@xouxou35 i agree with you wtf is more of an olympic sport. but in the other i dont think wtf created to be more popular. i think it got created to be more korean. if you understand what i mean. check the similarities between itf and shito ryu and the similarities between wtf and taekyon you will see that wtf is a more korean art. i think thats why choi left to north korea also. its a complicated thing to talk about. AND since we are all taekwondo practisioners why fighting each other us?

@HermesDo I agree, WTF is more recent. but i find it to be more of a sport than a martial art, its was created in the 70's only to overpass general choi's itf in a popularity point of vue, that is why it is in the olympics and not itf.

@xouxou35 i would say wtf is the more genuine taekwondo. its a distinct art on its own.

while other korean arts like itf taekwondo and tang soo do are similar to shitoryu and shotokan karate.

that says something.

@HermesDo WTF is the fake tkd. ITF is the original, and is far more effective in self-defense. Spining 360 degree hook kicks dont work if somebody attacks with a knife. WTF 's kicks are more spectacular, that's all. and taekwon-do means the way of the feet and fist, and i barely see fists in WTF fights. No disrispect intended, just my opinion.
