Silverchair performing their great 'Straight Lines'. But, to be honest, I don't understand what happened to Daniel's voice.

  • Daniel Johns is god, stop writing anything else.

  • Considering he had a really bad case of laryngitis and could easily have chosen NOT to perform, I think Daniel did BRILLIANTLY. Truly dedicated to his art and professional promo, I completely and utterly admire him for doing this. He has a LOT of guts. Truly courageous. I have adored Silverchair for over a decade, seen them live 5 times and met them all twice. He is so sweet and lovely in person! =)

  • They toured to hell and back cause of private recording label production and lack of major label advertising, voice has to go bust, not a matter of if, it's when! Pretty awesome head voice, for someone with laryngitis.

  • @jcrm05 this is sad,,,, nothing like the old silverchair

  • @duduviana What a mess that turned the Silverchair.

  • What a mess that turned Silverchair.

    Que porcaria virou o Silverchair.

  • @duytherockdang

    He is yelling.

  • LOL Is this band Shilverchair???? D:

  • frankly I think I like this screaming version more than the original. But, yeah, big gamble on his part performing like this. I'm glad it didn't ruin him.

  • at 0:55 you can see Daniel look back and just like "yeah, this is tough" because of his laryngitis...

    Love him lots still.

  • Poor guy he tried so hard.... you can tell he was sick! RESPECT!

  • I love Silverchair. As a musician, I admire his courage for performing with laryngitis, but at the same time, he took a massive gamble performing like that. He could've permanently damaged his vocal chords. I respect his audacity, but I don't think it was worth the risk.
