@FenrirLupus I have an Eminence Patriot Series Swamp Thang that is currently in the amp.

Why did you especially chose the Governor speaker among the so huge choice Eminence offers ? Do you know the difference with the Tonker and the Wizard please ? Thank you.

@carmotogitaro
The strat was a Saga Strat kit with a Torres Engineering replacement neck. The pickups in it are Guitar Fetish GFS Alnico II single coil pickups. The strings on it are Ernie Ball .11's

Did the Weber Beam Blocker change how you have to mic your amp? Did it have any noticeable effect?
I'm considering installing some beam-blockers on my amp because it seems they would make it better with jamming with friends as well as hearing myself on stage, but I also do lots of recording and I'm concerned about the way it might affect the sounds I get when close-mic'ing.
Gorgeous tones, btw. Warm and clear. :)

they are pretty easy to remove for recording. My RIvera was a front loading amp with velcro around the grill. I did have a mic in this vid, and have recorded with the amp and have had no issues. I recommend them very much.

I chose the Governor because everyone reviews it agains the Celestion Vintage 30. I liked it over the V30 because it's Made in USA and there were more people favoring the Governor over the V30 in side by side comparisons. There were a ton of speakers from Eminence, and I listened to all the sound samples, and still ended up getting the Gov'r.
