I was abused also sexually, the person was disfellowshiped but the police were never called. The person was reinstated and went back into JWs and molested more people.

Up until 1968 Homosexuality was viewed as an 'un-cleaness' not a sin. It wasn't until it was made public knowledge that most members of Bethel were homosexual (straight men and women were sent to the printing facility or the farm and kept away from the party at Bethel) that the society changed its view of homosexuality and declared it a disfellowshiping matter(along with masturbation). The ones 'outed' were simply put on probation and sent around the country to congregations.

In any cross section of society, witness organization, catholic religion, etc, 10% will be homosexual. Statistically close to 20% will struggle with substance abuse. How a society or organization deals with the problem is key to the character of the organization itself. By denying the molestation the witnesses are guilty of supporting the behavior. Doesn't sound like God's organization.

i had a jw upbringing hated it, constantly put down women and this pervy guy always looked at my young sisters legs, i left, many years later i had a study with a nice enough lady mind u she always said i was a bit rough round the edges cheeky cow, anyway she told me her brother was sexualy abused by a witness! the witnesses have that insaine law that 2 people have to c the abuse for it to b belived !! omg thats a licence to abuse. im out never goin back !!!
