Timelapse | Houston Airport | HOU

This is how we entertained ourselves during the 4 hour layover at HOU. We found this circular ceiling that produced the most peculiar echo when standing directly beneath the center of the dome. The best part was singing random songs and watching the look of confusion on people's faces when they walked under the dome and suddenly heard this reverberation of voices out of no where. To demonstrate what its like I hummed a tune (which happened to be Tom's Diner by Suzanne Vega) while walking under the dome. Notice the sound change once directly beneath the dome. I know I know - this was cool in 2nd grade when you went to the science museum. I still find it highly entertaining.
