  • Actually that would be 9 degrees east of north. you got it backwords. But it could be written as 81degrees north of east.

  • Perfectly legitimate way to apply and learn and understand vectors. As a pilot I use this calculation every single flight...now I know the technical way to find my Wind Correction Angle when determining True Course

  • Might be helpful to explain that when you're drawing your triangle you are reducing your magnitude to a unit magnitude. Otherwise pretty good, especially considering the price! Thanks.
