Innovation Fuels is a company in Newark that turns kitchen grease and animal fat into fuel. But the plant doesnt smell like a refinery or a fast food joint. The raw material comes in through a pipeline and is turned into biodiesel, which is mixed with regular diesel and sold to customers in Europe and the United States. Its all part of the green energy movement, according to President John Fox.
Just curious, are the percentages of methanol and catalyst the same for both vegetable oil and animal fat or does one require more methanol / catalyst than the other?
