Ooyala, the Mountain View-based online video services company founded by several ex-Googlers, is providing customers the ability to publish YouTube clips into the publishing system and on an Ooyala player.
By using the Ooyala player, publishers can track metrics of how the clip performs on their sites. There are limited opportunities to monetize the YouTube clips, which come without advertising.
We caught up with Ooyala co-founder Bismarck Lepe earlier this month at the Streaming Media East conference for this explanation and demo.
The Business Insider uses Ooyala and recently inserted a Lady Gaga YouTube video into its player.

Did he say that this excludes the YouTube ads when they embed? This should be interesting.
