Brendan Nelson an ex union leader who once vowed never to vote liberal in his life has been elected into the top job of the liberal party. His deputy will be Julia Bishop. How dumb is this!!

  • The Libs didnt put Turnbull in the seat because they didnt want a big bussness figure-head running there party for the simple reason they know they lost the election because of there big bussness ties and industrial reform.

Turnbull in the chair would have caused more damage.

  • wait and see ...its only a matter of time..turnbull will lead the party

  • Im a sparky and today when i got home from work i received a huge package, and on the front it read "Eureka Howards Gone!"lol. It was basically a whole magazine dedicated to degrating john and costello lol.

  • gee i wonder if it was more union propaganda...even when they have lost the unions still keep sinking the boots in...amazing this is where yr union contributions go!!

  • just a question, what do you mean when you say the unions have lost? i thought theyv won.

  • i meant they as in the liberal party lost and the unions just keep sinking the boots in and the scary thing is that the labor party won but u think the unions won...interesting

  • oh c'mon...Turnbull made sure he didn't win by ensuring his close colleagues didn't vote for him...who would've wanted that poisoned chalice? it was an exercise in setting himself up as the next leader of the Liberals.

  • I would like to see Julie Bishop lead the Liberal party with Costello back in as treasurer. He is just brilliant, and she is a very articulate and a professional representative of the party. Malcolm should be representing small business, put Tony into families, Joe back into workplace relations, bring Alex back in as foreign minister and move Brendan to Health where he could do the best job. Then i think you would have the dream team that could oust Rudd at the next election. Heres hoping!

  • welcome to opposition people. Im sure the magority of the liberal supporters who comment on this particular video still support workchoices as well. Brendan nelson will have the job for at least 12months because no one else would want the job any sooner, its a poisoned chalice until the memories of the arrogant last years of the former government is somewhat faded. I for one would like turnbull, his articulate and despite his great, well earned, wealth - likeable and in touch with australians

  • Brendan Nelson, Hahahahahahah, Julie Bishop WHO???? are you kidding, they'll hang around for their super and gold travel pass and then turn off the lights & pissoff, the Fiberals are gone for good.

  • Actually, I hope that Nelson and Turnbull have their little tiffs and eventually we will have the return of Mr Costello/Julie Bishop. I can't see Nelson or Turnbull being able to do the job.

  • Turnbull is playing Mr Nice guy, because the Liberals lost the election.

Turnbull is only sorry that HE is not leader of the liberal party.

After World War 2 you could not find a NAZI in Germany. Today, in the liberal party you cannot find a person who supported Howard the gutless coward.

  • AND. I hope that Nelson does NOT send YOU to Iraq or Afghanistan to die for US oil.
