saying "oh its free" isnt an excuse for it being intentionally made shittier over time rather than better.

what about the time you invest in it? perhaps it was worth investing the time and tokens one day, then suddenly no longer is the next.

with a single keystroke he disintegrates your entire empire, which you may have spent hundreds of dollars and years of all nighters building.

if he sold out to a "Real" company then the shit talk about profiteering would become reality. really though, i would pay a monthly to play the game starport could have evolved into, but since that can't happen, im making my own game thats 100 times better in every way. all old school starportians will be getting into the closed beta, so get back to me in ten years, rofl.

this game is pretty bullshit, why can't we make multiple accounts wheras there's barely anyone playing besides there's barely any patches around so i was wondering if toonces can sell the game to a company that will really improve it. cause the game is complicated where you gotta pay to stay in protected space for an hour, if it was in real life it should have been day so it would be simple just like paying for a night in a hotel

the problem is the vision of what the game should be. toonces believes that exp is the score of a perma and that everything needs to be "balanced" to give equal "success". this is fine for the rebangs. when the community demanded a permanent server, we wanted to deviate from that original vision, and at first we thought toonces was coming with us. it wasn't until later that we realized toonces didn't understand we wanted a game about galactic empires instead of doing taxis and trading.

ok, one, he DID make a patch that did exactly that. there was also a patch that billed you for un space 5 times a second. two, if you like the game the way it is now you would have loved it before the last 300 nerfs made it more of a chore than a fun pass-time. the video is pretty juvenile, i dont agree with that tripe. its just that you clearly haven't played long enough to understand why someone would make something like this. most people that played back then felt the same way.
