The reality is that the EU has not severed relations with Russia. Most European leaders know that Russia is a very important partner and that EU must maintain relations with Russia.
And I have been saying for several years that Europe must separate itself from the American yoke-- and Russia can help Europe do this - but Russia needs to play smart and less "realpolitik."

The reality is that the 1997 partnership agreement is not really needed and this agreement has been on hold for a couple of years. The reality is that EU involvement in Georgia is needed as the country is in need of learning respect for freedom of the press.
The fact remains that the EU continues its relationship with Russia and Russia is needed in Europe's neighborhood.
Germany and most other European nations continue their ties with Moscow...

Polish Foreign Minister R.Sikorski said Russia's behaviour meant another Cold War was possible.
"We have reached a cusp of history, we would all want to avoid some kind of second Cold War. If we get it, I have no doubts who will win it," Mr Sikorski said.
Are you ready to fight a proxy war with Russia for US masters, Mr Sikorski? I also have no doubts who will win. Esp if you think that Patriots will cover you. Hm-m, Germans exterminated millions of Polish, and you're in bed with them?
