Light rail transit construction along 6th Avenue between Indiana and Union - Lakewood, Colorado

Yes, this is a VERY boring video! However, what I hope to do, three years from now, is post another video of the same transit cooridor showing the completed light rail line. I've always enjoyed (and taken advantage of) public transit and am looking forward to the further expansion of light rail throughout the Denver area. As you can see, I was taking the bus while recording this video - a two hour (roundtrip) ride I take almost each and every day...

It's planned to open in the Spring of 2013, with trains running between the Jefferson County complex, Federal Center, Lakewood, West Denver, Auraria West, Invesco Field, Pepsi Center and Union Station. At Federal Blvd. it'll have bus connections to Civic Center Station, also.

I believe in the next three years they'll have it connected to the entire system so you'll be able to go directly downtown...
