Mad Max goes mad. One of the eight 30+ point quarters by a player in NBA history. Vernon hits threes, drives to the basket and scores with acrobatic layups or free throws after drawing the foul. Houston didn't need Hakeem in this one. January 26, 1991.

  • Idc how hot Mad Max was, if you let him light you up for 30 points in a quarter you're defense is terrible. Maxwell 51 points? Smh.

  • @PhilBurr100 I don't know, man, in my opinion, Maxwell was pretty unstoppable when he got hot.

  • who's the "second" commentator??

  • @VickTheQuick Mike Newlin and Bill Worrell were the commentators.

  • MAD MAX was MJ's worst nightmare

  • mike newlin was about as boring as matt bullard is now.

  • @LamarMatic

Bill Worrell hated to commentate the Rocket games. Every time he opened his mouth, it was negative and absurd. He was a complete ass when he opined.

  • Ci ktorzy ze mna grali wiecie MAD MAX :)

  • Craig Ehlo is used to getting lit up for 50+ points but he never expected it from a non-allstar 2 guard. great game by MadMax

  • The thing about Maxwell was that all and all, he was not a great three point shooter. He was only 33 percent from beyond the arc. When he was on, he was good. But when he was off, he could be awful at times.
