HD version. In this video you will find the low wind start up of the wind max and it hit over 20 amp's in 20 mph wind. I am in no way affiliated with Windmax or HY energy. Just a consumer Thanks for watching.

  • Oh I didn't see you made a follow up. What type of charge are you seeing? What is the wattage? It's a nice setup but a trickle charge isn't worth it. And how often do you get 30 MPH winds? Maybe in Colorado.

  • @xxdrewzooxx I will make more video's soon . Have seen 50 amps max in a wind storm with a 12v battery bank. Thats well over the rated watts but the manual of this turbine say's In the wind conditions I seen that amperage in I should have had the break on.

  • @xxdrewzooxx I do have another video with the sealed temps in a wind storm and in the same video it hits 40 amps. I do have more video's of this turbine hitting 40 amps or more and will post them soon

  • I am really impressed with low wind start up, I am for sure buying this for my property! we average 10 mph but I would rather get that energy than not to try at all. Thanks for sharing!

  • @Cocobumbo No problem. They are a great turbine for sure.

  • Awesome... Thats the next thing I have to build. Thanks for posting it.. Looks really nice too.

    All the best,

    -Pete

  • @mixcatcom Thanks pete. If you have any questions or idea's just send me a Email I would be glad to help.

  • This is great, showing the real time amps. Great video.I beginning to believe I would have spent my money on these and not the junk turbines I bought. This one turbine is putting out more then both of the ones I have together.

    Thanks

    again

  • thanks for the vid man nice work!!!!

  • Very nice blades, I like those better than the stock Wind-X ones. Probably wouldn't matter what generator it was attached to. Do those "furl" in high winds? Forums at TechLuck DOT com

  • Great video Buddy

  • LO, My Hy400 Has to deal with a fair amount of tree's in the summer and has a hard time tracking. I'm thinking a longer tail shaft and bigger tail would help. What do you think? She gets goin then flips around backwards in a good gust. I remember you or Al mentioning that the tail was a bit small so I anticipated this before I bought it. I wasn't having this problem with my DIY mill but it had a much longer tail. Also what do you think about a voltage doubler for getting power in low winds.
