Finally... found some time to mix it up. Here's 7 minutes of some good 'ole family tradition. This event was pretty dear to me because we used the cider press that my dad refurbished but never got to use. Technically, this was its maiden smash and I think he'd be proud. Next year, think back to October '09 when Jim and I used the words "apple smash" in every 5th sentence. This is the reason why.
You have the best cider pressing video on you tube! I'm picking up a load of Blue Ridge Mountain red oak in 2 days to begin restoration of my press. Picked up all the metal parts for $15 !

@Factory051 Hey thanks. My dad actually refurbished this. As you can see it looks rather new. All he had was the iron parts. He made all the wood parts and then painted all the iron. He had a stroke and never got to use it. So, I made good on that and made this video. Cheers.
