  • @Renaissanceman1000 yeah that's what I was saying you can tell, plus it was cleared up that this was him long ago. He never really liked singing inhis upper register at first, but that was what was needed for the group and it became his signature sound so many people don't expect him to sing in his natural voice, but when you hear him its amazing

  • For anyone who has any doubt, listen to Eddie's solo works, 'This Used To Be The Home Of Johnny Mae', and 'If You Let Me'.

  • I've always said that Al sounds like Eddie, in the background. I've always found that fascinating about the Tempts in general, especially on this song. Go listen to the Tempts singing 'I Want a Love I Can See' (Live)'. There's a heated debate over there. Come join us. However, this is definitely Eddie. How could anyone think otherwise. His vocal styles, and riffs, and the rasp he had in his falsetto voice. C'mon people.

  • @a1992aron The album says nothing of the sort. The album says that "anyone is capable of singing lead, as they do on this album", but that's just to make a point about their versatility. Otis doesn't sing lead, except where he sings intro on 'Check Yourself', for a few bars. Al did not take any leads.

  • @a1992aron Which album was that?

  • ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE ALBUMS....WAITING FOR THE EQUIPMENT THAT CONVERTS ALBUMS TO CD PRICES TO DROP......

  • Only Two lead Singers at this stage of the Tempts, and that was Paul Williams and the great Eddie Kendricks!~I was shocked as well listening to this over and over because i heard Eddie in this Nautral and i like some others was also saying maybe this is Al , then i kept listening and her cleared it up when he took that beautiful sweet tenor into the heavens!~ but if you think about it ,listen to the home of Johnnie Mae! he took it there on a few on his first Solo Album, brother could Blow!~

  • @dienglee They Said That Al Is Credited As The Lead But Eddie Sung Lead & Al Didnt Sing On This Song
