Alfa Trofeo Racing in New Zealand:
We run four classes which all run together at meetings;
TrofeoClass: Semi modified Alfa Romeo cars,
Veloce Class: Up to 3200cc with modified brakes, suspension and engine (limited mods),bodywork and trim standard,
GT Junior class: Modified bodywork, brakes and suspension and interior, with standard specification engine and finally
GTA Class : Open class for Alfa Romeo cars
I run in GTA with an Alfa 155 2.5 V6. This is usually the only Alfa 155 at the meeting. Most popular are suds and 33's for their relatively low cost to run at varying levels, but other cars include a GTV6, Guilias, Factory prepared Group N 156 and 105 series cars. The Znoelli 155 is very much under development and is racing here in dire need of work on suspension geometry and bushes. It is a consequently a bit of a handful to drive. This will hopefully become a front runner in the near future.
Sounds like the gear ratio is really wrong for racing. Maybe you need to look into a 156 V6 gearbox. Good driving!

Yeah, standard box, standard suspension bushes etc. Lots of work to do :-). Time and money a big factor!!
