Manly Palmer Hall - Opening the Doors to the Invisible. (1:03:30 - 1:16:08
I found many similarities in his words to some of the experiences which created my connection to cannabis.

  • This has nothing to do with cannabis. What he is talking about has to do with a purity of self that allows these internal experiences to happen.

"Among hashish addicts particularly, it is not an uncommon form of hallucination for them to declare emphatically that while in the state of partial stupor they have seen words coming out of people's mouths. The occultist knows that the use of drugs is one of the easiest methods to secure a negative form of mediumship."

    - Manly P. Hall

  • @michaeldavid26 Recreational use of hash has nothing to do with this.

Read the description ,,,, HIS words MY experience... with this plant and (if you had a clue about me or this channel before you yap your gap) obviously it's medicinal use.

Let your stereotypes go and don't assume before you know.

  • @HolisticPlantHealth It's unwise of you to assume that because I'm pointing out your foolishness with this that you think I haven't read the description you posted or any comments etc. What you're doing here is twisting his words to justify your support of cannabis, when that's not what he is talking about. And, as I pointed out, he (the occultist) was against any substance that alters the state of mind. You can find that quote in "The Sacred Magic of the Qabbalah" pg. 18

  • @michaeldavid26 I didn't say MPH says Go Smoke Pot & I didn't assume,.. I told you to Do It, Be it the first time or again. Because you don't get that altered states of mind has nothing to do with my intention. Which is not justification of support or twisting words. It seems to me that you can't disassociate medicinal from recreational use of cannabis. If you could you might see the many ways to use this plant without getting high. Many ways that couldn't get you high even if you tried.

  • @HolisticPlantHealth There are plenty of other mystics that are more pro drug than Hall :) But Hall is very much against the altering of consciousness through chemical ways. You should check out some of Crowley's work such as the Psychology of Hashish and his various writings on alcohol, opium, hashish etc. Other mystical traditions make use of the marijuana plant you are right, is it the best way to achieve higher consciousness, not in my opinion and definately not in

  • This video is highly misleading, I have no problem with you achieving altered states and meditating with it etc. Manly P Hall has always discouraged EVERY mind altering substance, now you may not agree but there is NO cannabis connection to this message. Also I can guarantee that if you practice enough and are able to meditate and do other practices you may fall into a much deeper trance than through the use of cannabis. I do not judge what you do but you may be misinterpreting the audio.

  • well manly p hall, im glad you're one of the blessed and that in this world you find purpose. but your words mean jack shit to me

  • @BoxingPride Material pleasures and needs don't mean shit... you can have all these things but that don't mean your happy. It gives you short lived happiness, and what is that worth really?

  • meditative discipline

  • Why did you deceptively call this the "Cannbis Connection..."? That snows a profound disregard for what he's talking about.
